An established international financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Category Management Expert to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across critical infrastructure software categories. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major global technology vendors, influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex commercial negotiations. Sourcing & Category Management Expert responsibilities:
- Strategic Software Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies across critical infrastructure software categories, helping to optimise spend, maximise value and support wider business objectives.
- Global Negotiations & Contract Optimisation: Lead complex, cross-country negotiations with major technology vendors, challenging pricing structures, licensing models and contractual terms to improve commercial outcomes and flexibility.
- Strategic Vendor Management: Build and manage relationships with critical Tier 1 suppliers, driving supplier performance, identifying innovation opportunities and maximising long-term value.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management: Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver global sourcing projects, strengthen contractual compliance and balance commercial opportunities with third-party risk.

Sourcing & Category Management Expert Required Experience:
We’re looking for a commercially astute procurement professional who combines deep software market knowledge with the confidence to negotiate, influence and deliver results.
- Proven experience in strategic procurement and software sourcing, ideally within an international financial services organisation.
- Experience leading cross-country negotiations with major Tier 1 technology vendors, such as Microsoft, Broadcom, SAP, Oracle, IBM or hyperscalers.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software licensing models, vendor pricing structures and contractual negotiations, with the ability to identify commercial opportunities and reduce supplier dependency.
- Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills, with experience working across international teams and complex business environments.
