Procurement Manager – Machine Parts

Category Manager - Machine Parts - $75K - $150K USD + Package + Bonus - New York or Iowa

This Global Aerospace Organization have been doing very well despite the Covid crisis. They have gone from strength to strength over the last decade, expanding into new markets and increasing their R&D projects.

As a result of growth they are looking for a new Category Manager to manage their global $Multi-Million spend across Machine Parts categories.

This role has a strong path of progression to more senior roles within the organization such as Procurement Category Lead within the next 18 Months.

The Category Manager - Machine Parts will have responsibility for:

• Managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing across a $Multi-Million USD spend across Machinery parts
• Setting strategy for the global category, adding as much value to the business as possible
• Leading a team of 3 procurement professionals, helping them to build upon their skillsets and develop
• Working with industry leading professionals, engaging with senior stakeholders within the business and influencing them on your set procurement strategy

The Category Manager - Machine Parts will need to have:

• Excellent strategic sourcing / procurement experience managing the full end to end process
• Technical understanding of machining and the metal fabrication processes, this personw ill need to understand blueprints for parts and assemblies - then connecting this to the suppliers
• Strong stakeholder management skills
