Global Castings & Metals Procurement Manager - Market-Leading Manufacturing Organization - US East Coast (Remote options available) - $145,000 - $165,000 + Strong Package

This Global Manufacturer who are at the forefront of their industry are recruiting a brand new position for a direct procurement specialist who has experience procuring industry specific castings and metals. The items that you will be sourcing are critical to the organization's operations making this an integral role within the procurement function!

The role has been created due to a recent business-wide restructure which has resulted in a much greater focus on the value that procurement and supply chain can bring to the whole organization. This means that the successful applicant will have complete buy-in from senior stakeholders, a great deal of autonomy over their categories and the opportunity to truly make their mark in an environment that fully backs procurement.

Alongside this autonomy, there is also a great progression path that is being built for those joining the procurement function at the moment. Due to the immature state of the procurement function, the company are expecting the team to grow rapidly, meaning that those joining the function now will soon be building teams of buyers/senior buyers underneath them!

Global Castings & Metals Procurement Manager, role responsibilities: -

• Managing the full end to end strategic procurement for a variety of key electronic commodities including but not limited to Cables, Panels and Plastics
• Acting as the procurement business partner for numerous other business functions (R&D, NPD, Engineering) whilst working on new and exciting business-critical projects
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with C-Suite stakeholders, operating as an SME within the Direct Procurement space
• Adhering to the wider values of the firm where procurement is not solely concerned with cost reduction, but more around adding value and finding the most efficient, sustainable and ethical solutions

Global Castings & Metals Procurement Manager, required background: -

• Experience of designing and implementing direct procurement category strategy. This could be across a variety of components or materials, however, any sourcing of Castings, Metals or Metal Wiring is beneficial
• Exposure to a complex, Blue-Chip environment is beneficial, as is experience within the manufacturing, aerospace or automotive industries
• Evidence of successful project management experience in supply chain, engineering or program management business area in global companies
• Desire and ability to build strong face-to-face relationships with stakeholders, the role will involve regular expensed travel to Regional sites
• Strong academic record (Degree with a Major in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar would be very beneficial)
