We offer opportunities throughout the entire career lifecycle.
When recruits join the firm we take the time to get a comprehensive understanding of what career success means to them. As an employee committed to diversity and inclusion, we know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to this. Everyone is different and every career path needs to take its unique course. When team members need more coaching or training to reach the next level, we make it happen. If they want to learn from experienced staff we arrange mentorship. Through regular meetings and feedback sessions, our line managers monitor progress and keep the career progression conversation going.
We promote soft skills
Career development isn’t all about learning new technical skills or taking on more responsibility, though these are important too. Soft skills such as negotiation, teamwork, empathizing and conflict management are all valuable attributes for employees to learn, workshop and develop. Many businesses find these are best taught through workshops delivered by external experts but they can be equally effective through internally-organized workshops.
We give clear goals
From day one, our team knows what is expected of them and what they need to do to succeed and progress. The playing field is always level and no one gets special treatment. All objectives and benchmarks are documented and transparent. Managers give regular feedback on progress including recommendations for ways the colleague can expedite their career development or even move ‘sideways’ into other areas of the business.
